Collectors knew that more core seven ponies and the new line of Ponyville mermaid ponies would make an appearence this year, but who saw this one coming?!?!
Oh, Applejack... what has happened to you?
And poor, poor Spike...
And then there is this...
I hope that this is like the MLP eqivilent of The Star Wars Clone Wars toys and that they are just something that go with the new cartoon series. I hope Hasbro will continue to make the other MLP styles as well.

Hasbro execs should be shot for what they have done to MLP...poor poor Applejack indeed. She was my first and is my fav...
ReplyDeleteI can't help but look at this particular addition to the MLPverse and think that, once again (like with Mighty Muggs), Hasbro is ripping a page from KidRobot and appropriating the Unicornasaurus: http://gokitsch.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/5452-default-l.jpg
ReplyDeleteHi! I just stumbled onto your blog today (while researching green ponies, hehe) and found the pic of your new pony toys! I'm an animator working on the new tv series using these designs. I can't divulge too much, but please believe me that there are a bunch of pony-loving girls working here, and we're trying our best. I thought Applejack was adorable when I saw her! They did a few changes that might take a bit for the pony-fans to get used to, but I hope your opinion will change when you see the show. :)
ReplyDeleteHello, new poster here!
ReplyDeleteEep - I actually really like that spike and applejack... :) Although they will never be true MLPs it is good to see the franchise is still developing. That means many more ponies to come.
Oh, I love the waves of plastic hair on the pink pony - is that pinkie pie?
