New Aurora My Little Pony Plush Available for Discounted Prices!

The wonderful people from Aurora Gifts set up an amazing display at this year's MY LITTLE PONY Fair showcasing their brand new My Little Pony plush line. Everyone was so excited to see the items in person. We wished we could purchase them, but sadly, they were for display. Only those lucky enough to win one of the MY LITTLE PONY raffle drawings got to take them home.

I'm happy to announce that the wait is now over! These adorable My Little Pony plush products are beginning to show up at select retail stores including Zulily! Right now, they are running a special on MLP items, including the adorable Aurora Plush Ponies! Also, they are running a special promotion for referrals. If you are new to Zulily and follow this link to sign up, I get an account credit too (to purchase even more pony goodies... or cute outfits for my toddler.) Even if you don't use the referral link, you still need these cute Aurora plush ponies. The 10 inch characters are currently listed for $7 off retail and the carrier bags and other smaller plush are discounted too! They are really great quality and super soft and huggable.

Long Overdue Big Apple PonyCon Photos and Recap

Remember back in March when I was lamenting my missing camera chargers and my non working memory card reader and I promised photos of Big Apple Pony Con? Well, here a few photos of the event and some of the awesome peeps I got to hang with over the weekend:

On Saturday, I was a speaker on the MLP Collector Panel with Valerie and Karen who are both really great girls. I'd spoken to Valerie many times, but this was the first time we actually had the opportunity to meet. Karen was the organizer for Big Apple Ponycon and a longtime friend.

Since I was a Guest of Honor at the event, my husband and I were invited to attend a VIP party that Karen had organized at a posh boutique hotel in Brooklyn. Karen is on the left, I'm in the middle and my husband is on the right.:)

We were treated to appetizers and an open bar and I was able chat with Andrea Libman, who voices both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie in the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series (who is super cute by the way!)  I also got to have a great conversation with Andy Price who is one of the MLP Comic artists for DWI, and Jayson Thiessen, director of MLP: FIM. Of course, by the time I got around to talking with Jason I was a couple of drinks in and so I don't really recall what the conversation was about, but it involved lots of laughing and was a good time.

In this photo, I'm clearly having a good time in the background!
I was also recruited to be a Costume Contest judge during BAP(which was so fun) and I got to witness this:

My husband and I had a great time, plus we were able to sneak in a few Broadway shows during the trip. Hopefully, I'll be invited back next year!

Pony Procrastination

I'm scheduled to attend this year's Ohio Collector's Meet in Cincinnati this weekend. I should have spent the last few weeks getting things ready so I'd just have to grab some tubs and go, but it didn't happen. I now have just a few days to round up all of my things for sales and display. It will happen, but it may require some late nights and a little caffeine.

If you are attending this weekend's event, I'll see you there!

I made it to the other side!

I'm back (I think) from my 3 month hiatus. I got majorly wrapped up with MY LITTLE PONY Fair 2013 planning this year and it sucked about every ounce of Pony out of me. It was all worth it in the end as the event was a terrific success and everyone had an awesome time. Not to mention, we had record attendance (including tons of little ones!) I got to spend some time getting to know, MY LITTLE PONY creator, Bonnie Zacherle. She is a lovely person and has some terrific stories to share and great taste in wine! Now that I have had a couple of weeks to recover, I'm ready to talk, chat, and blog about all things MLP once again.

I'm aware that this weekend marks the 3rd annual BronyCon (held in Baltimore) and while I considered attending, I decided that the Cincinnati Pony Collector Event (held on the same weekend) was more my speed this year. I'm excited to hang with fellow collectors and actually chill out and enjoy myself. It's been awhile. :)

I'll be sure to snap some photos while I'm there to (hopefully) add to my Pony scrapbook. It is in serious need of an update. Someday I'll get it up to date again. The past few months have been a whirlwind and I welcome the break to actually get back into actually collecting Ponies rather than just promoting them. In addition to adding some exciting new collection pieces, I've been slowly working on putting my Pony Room back in order with the addition of new Billy bookcases from IKEA.

Until next time, I'll leave you with this adorable photo from the MLP Fair of a little girl dressed as Princess Pristina because she is just too adorable!

The Case of the Missing Camera Charger(s)

I have two primary digital cameras, a smaller pocket sized camera for on the go and my mega SLR camera. It seems I have misplaced the chargers for both! I've spent the last several days searching every possible place they could be hiding only to come to the conclusion that they must still be in Brooklyn. I guess I should be thankful that I made it home with the cameras themselves...

Anyway, I have several fun photos to share with you all of my fun trip to Brooklyn, New York and my adventures at Big Apple Ponycon where I was a speaker and featured Guest of Honor (fun stuff!!)... once I get my replacement chargers.

To all of you that are thinking, "Why don't you just insert your memory card into your card reader?" I'll admit that I can't seem to locate my card adapter that fits in my card reader.

The most frustrating fact of this whole ordeal is that for once my house and office are both clean and organized.

Hey, Remember me?

I stepped away from blogging for a few weeks to focus on getting the last little bits of my newest book turned into my editor and to knock out some major MY LITTLE PONY Fair 2013 planning. I've been also doing quite a bit of traveling and it just seemed that at the end of the day, after I had taken the time to answer the piles of email in my inbox, I just didn't have have the energy to write a blog post. Here's to hoping that I'll be able to update a little more frequently! I did manage to survive the winter months despite my loathing of the cold. It helped that I visited some warmer places to break up all the chill and gloom of the Midwest.

At the end of January, I traveled to Los Angeles, California and had the pleasure of being interviewed about both the 2013 MY LITTLE PONY Fair and my upcoming My Little Pony Collector's 2009-2012 Inventory for an episode for the Brony Clubhouse Network. I was able to visit with my friend and fellow collector, Cayci and tour her pony room.

I met Cayci years ago at a collector event . She has such a bright and bubbly personality and is just a fun person to be around. Plus, she has a pretty great collection!

She goes by the name "Baby Medley" on the MLPArena, and she has an amazing Medley collection to go with her nickname!

In case you missed the episode when it was initially posted weeks ago, I've included a link so you can have the pleasure of watching me stumble over my words. You can also see my husband, Matt, stand there and look awkward. I just kept blabbering on and on and never really gave the poor guy a chance to chime in on anything. I guess it goes to show that when it comes to Ponies I never really run out of things to say!
